Imagine you’ve just stumbled into a real-life Secret Garden 🤫

The kind that only reveals itself to people who truly need it. Arriving in this space, you feel just like Anne Shirley Cuthbert strolling down Lover’s Lane for the very first time or Laura Ingalls Wilder wandering out into the wide open prairie grass in search of a place to swim… full of wonder, awe, inspiration, and a quiet, romantic kind of joy.

Welcome, you’re home.

The Nourished Sensitive is a sanctuary for the soul — a place where you can fully be yourself, ground in your truth, and know that you’re safe, loved, and held like Mother Nature is wrapping you in her warm arms saying, “You can rest now, my darling.

Because the truth is: you are not alone in this world.

You belong somewhere. You belong here. You belong…

There’s a whole community of deep feeling folks here who just get it — who know what it’s like to move through the world with a heart that’s as deep and tender as yours and a rich inner, sensitive, soft inner life.

This space is about Friendship. Belonging. Nourishment. And we strive to maintain it and create the kind of kinship that so many of us missed out on — or got hurt inside of — but still long for a truly need deep down.

And the healing in this space?

It happens just from having the unspoken permission you need to be yourself. It’s found in figuring life out together instead of pretending we don’t need each other. We are comfortable needing each other in this space. That’s what makes it so special.

And now that you’re here, you get to walk the journey with us — hand-in-hand, unmasked, sometimes stumbling, sometimes skipping, sometimes surrendering all control and taking the leap… off into the sunset just like we’re in our own little movie.

A movie about the life of a sensitive soul who wanted to find true nourishment.

👋 If you’re still with me…Hi, I’m Leah!

I’m the Founder of TNS — and a fellow highly-sensitive, neurodivergent (AuDHD), soft hearted butterfly flower-child spirit on a mission. I’m also a transformational life coach, podcast host, registered dietitian, and Head Gardener at The Nourished Sensitive. And right now, as I’m writing this, I am living the romantic nomadic life of my dreams – firmly rooted in self-nourishment, nature, and nervous system care.

On my travels, I write, speak, and build community for those who’ve felt like too much and not enough, often at the same time — and who want to join others in becoming The Nourished Sensitive they know they truly are inside and wearing it proudly.

I’ll start. Here’s me— showing my face in a tiny, flower-wallpapers studio space: mic in position, peace sign up, smile at the ready, and heart wide open in the eyes.

Home at the moment is a Barbie-themed Airbnb I booked for a night on my very own 2025 Cruel Summer Tour through New England. And today, I recorded an episode of the podcast about living in alignment with your values for a more authentic life.

I mean you guysss, it’s literally my childhood bedroom fantasy dream life UNLOCKED for one night. It’s literally me doing what I always dreamed of doing. ALIGNMENT.

I want this kind of life for you too.

And it doesn’t have to be in a Barbie Dreamhouse or look the same way as my life. It could be a totally different dream life. What matters is that its yours and brings you the kind of joy and peace that only living in alignment with your values can bring.

🇺🇲 A real life, in-the-flesh, Miss Americana

If there’s such a thing as an ‘All-American Girl’, I think I might be her.

Growing up in New England, I spent a lot of time barefoot at my family summer camp playing in the lakes and ponds of the Northeast, finding shapes in the clouds, climbing trees, jumping off of floating docks and trampolines, riding my Barbie-bike off dirt mounds, and frog catching in the swamp across from our campground spot.

This made me into a really grounded, down-to-earth, soft, friendly kind of person.

By the way, this completely tracks with my birth chart as a Capricorn Sun, Sagittarius Moon and Pisces Rising (She’s loyal, grounded, adventurous, ethereal and dreamy).

🌈 My Journey of Self-Discovery

I always knew there was something different about me.

I was a strange little kiddo with a fantastic imagination, intense special interests in books, music, and singing, and an unusual way of seeing the world that set me apart from others.

Because of this, I often felt like I had to work so much harder than my peers just to fit in. It wasn’t easy — to have my voice heard, to finish assignments on time, or to get my basic needs for belonging and safety met in my family and social environments.

But I tried. Oh lord, did I try.

Let me tell you — if you looked up “try hard” in the dictionary, you would have seen a photo of me smiling back with a pained look in my eyes.

And for a while, that way of living was enough. Enough to get me through school. Enough to live on my own. Enough to launch my early career.

Until it wasn’t.

The mask began to crack. The facade crumbled. And eventually, I collapsed into a deep season of burnout and soul awakening which forced me to rebuild everything — including my entire understanding of who I was and the life I had made for myself.

When I turned thirty-two, I finally started seeking answers.

And I discovered the truth: there was never anything wrong with me.
I’m just wired differently.

Highly sensitive. Intense. Gifted. Neurodivergent. ADHD. On the spectrum.
Yup — you read that right. I really am all those things and so much more.

The reality is: I wasn’t built like the rest of society. And after a lot of reckoning, I realized that was okay. It was okay to be my weird, silly little self —a multidimensional, rainbow-spirited girl who loves deeply, stays loyal, and deserves to belong.

After receiving my AuDHD diagnosis, everything started to shift.

I joined (and eventually co-created) support groups with people like me and started to see myself clearly for the first time — and to love what I saw.

And that changed everything. I stopped believing I was broken, and soon felt confident enough to begin showing up more fully and authentically.

I revived The Nourished Sensitive podcast as a space for me to process out loud and connect with other sensitive souls. I started writing more in my diary — and sharing those reflections on Substack. I left a long-term relationship and hit the road on a solo travel journey across the United States. I began working as a digital nomad keeping TNS afloat as both an entrepreneur and registered dietitian, while supporting hundreds of people around the country with improving their health through nervous-system-informed, compassionate care.

(Side note: need a dietitian covered by your insurance? [Click here 👀])

When I’m traveling and staying in beautiful spaces…pretending I’m in my own romantic comedy or Disney movie…unmasking completely, playing with joy and childlike wonder...

That’s when I feel most alive and most like myself.

📖 Other than that, I’m literally an open book (AMA).

It’s a movement with a mission and a vision

one I founded while wandering through the deepest corners of my heart and soul and doing all the mucky, uncomfortable work of self-healing and self-discovery.

I believe sensitive people are literally the greatest asset, edge, and unlock humanity has ever seen — so many of us just don’t know it yet

That’s why I’ve created a space for us…

To come together around a shared mission to grow, to share our gifts, and to serve the world with tenderness, compassion, creativity, and generosity.

Together at The Nourished Sensitive, we are reimagining what it means to be deeply ourselves in a world that often asks us to shrink, harden, and hide.

Joining this community is not just another subscription on your budget sheet —

It'’s a heart-forward investment in healing, connection, and the kind of belonging that nourishes you from the inside out and builds a more peaceful and inclusive world.

Now stay tuned for the PS

cause there’s always a PS when you have ADHD.

✍️ PS. What do I write about on Substack?

I write little travel diary entries, romantic love letters from the road and whatever my heart fancies from day to day including stories and lessons I’m learning from my life.

I write best from the kinds of moments I love to experience by myself in solitude. Also, because of my brain wiring I have a constant flow of ideas and possibilities running through my mind at warp speed–and I love to share these moments with my friends.

I’m a sharer by nature which mean I always want to TELL YOU about the things I’m learning, dreaming, and stumbling upon — my curious wonderings, romantic fantasies, passionate stories, poetic musings, crazy adventures, spontaneous ideas.

I could go on and on about…

  • A photograph of two friends sitting on a mountaintop letting the wind play the harp as the sun goes down behind the horizon signaling the end of a chapter.

  • A soft red rose blowing in the wind alongside a story of a weekend retreat in an old-money mansion by the ocean where I closed up my father wounds.

  • A still life video of monarch butterfly landing gently on a flower during migratory season in Missouri, and a time when I myself just happened to be passing through.

This is the love I have to offer through my writing, and my friends tell me that “Leah Love” is something really special. It took me a while to agree with them on that, but now I see the full value of what I have to offer and how it helps, I want you to be part of my soul sisterhood and chosen family.

💗 PS. Where Do My Words Come From?

They come from the heart, honestly. But if I had to put words to where my writing really comes from, here’s what I’d say:

My words come from a place that is –

precious. intimate. vulnerable. grounded. loving. soft. nourishing. intentional. pure. romantic. mysterious. holy. sacred. feminine. dreamy. otherworldly. universal.

And when you pair those qualities with all the little moments I capture on my iPhone (because I’m lowkey addicted to making sure not a single beautiful moment of this life is missed or wasted on my watch) — voilà! You’ve got my posts.

Since I’m also an opportunity-taker — the kind of person who says YES! to everything that aligns with her curiosity — and someone with just enough courage to chase her wildest dreams, I try to share what’s really going on in my life to inspire others.

My writing comes from that place.

These aren’t posts written to sell, perform, build a brand, or chase validation. I don’t bring that energy here anymore.

Instead, I bring:
reciprocity, honesty, compassion, unconditional positive regard, and more than anything a deep service to something greater than myself.

🌈 PS. Who Do I Write and Create For?

When I write or record, I try to imagine that I’m writing to my dream team of confidants, mentors, besties and cheerleaders like:

  • Courtney, who wrote the copy for the first chapter of TNS: A Fairytale.

  • Vero, who turned my vision and reflection l into a real-life rainbow

  • My soul sisters, near and far, new and not-yet-encountered.

  • and to my younger self, who was so lonely and needed a place like this

I’m writing to the chorus girls, the nerds, the misfits, the ones who didn’t fit in, the ones who cried over stupid boys for too long, the ones still chasing their romantic prairie dreams. The certifiable weirdos who are certain to be weird again.

To every little girl who needed a big sister. To every big sister who still needs softness. To every human alive on this planet who just wants to be understood and not judged.

I write for me, and I write for you. I write for all of us.

PS. The Secrets Out!

Here at TNS, this is what we’re gonna do:

we’re gonna to show the world who we really are, we’re going to step into our power together, we’re gonna shine bright like diamonds, be our own boyfriends and best friends, make sure we have what we need, and grow together. 💍🌱💗

Because even though it can be scary to do that work alone, its still work that really needs to get done. The garden needs tending, and it’s time to get our hands dirty

As they say, the best time to plant a tree was yesterday, the next best time is NOW.

So...grab your shovel, grab your garden gloves, and lets’s get started.

(Most Important PS), And If You're Still Unsure...

Check in with your intuition first.

Ask yourself:

  • Does this space align with my values?

  • Is there something here I feel I deeply need?

  • Do I feel like I could truly be myself here?

  • Have I been longing for something like this?

Your body knows. And if it feels like home, then it probably is.

You don’t have to figure it all out. You just have to follow your cravings, your hunger, your heart. Down the yellow brick road. Like Elphaba. Like Moana. Like Anne Frank.

And if you still have questions?

Just message me on Substack. Or visit the Contact page on my website at www.nourishedsensitive.com/contact.

We’re already so glad you're here. We love you. Come when you’re ready.

We’ll be waiting in the rose garden for you.

Love,

Leah
