Are you a sensitive soul with a story to share? The Nourished Sensitive Podcast is a space where you are invited to show up exactly as you are—come be part of the conversation and share your story.
Hi friends,
It’s me, Leah Hello again, I’ve missed you all!! I hope this note finds you feeling nourished and well.
Over the last several months, I’ve been on the move and traveling to different destinations across the United States (with a weeklong retreat to Costa Rica squeezed in for good measure–Pura Vida!!).
Currently, I’m in Atlanta GA for three weeks watching over a dog named Champ who is currently side sleeping on the floor behind me, and a kitty named Hazel (bottom right in the gallery) who is hiding somewhere doing whatever cats do.
Here are just a few snapshots from my recent travels–
In Costa Rica at the Manuel Antonio National Park where we saw sloths, monkeys, maccaws, and other local wildlife before heading to the crystal clear blue waters of the Pacific ocean, and Selvatica Eco Retreat Center where we enjoyed a week of nourishing yoga, fresh-cooked meals, and the sounds of the jungle outside our doors.

In Richmond VA at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens where I stopped to smell the blooming roses and did some light journaling under a tree, the Apothec Apothecary where I shared a flight of different teas from around the world with my best friend Kate, and the Frida Kahlo Exhibit at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts where I learned about the life and myth of a fascinating woman.

And finally, in a suburb of Atlanta Georgia, where you’ll find me with a cat resting in my lap as I read the latest from my favorite poet, David Whyte – Consolations: The Solace, Nourishment and the Underlying Meaning of Everyday Words.
Feeling a call to travel and adventure? I highly recommend checking these places out! I’ve linked the websites above if you wish to learn more and I am more than happy to answer any questions you have in the comments.
A New Season of The Podcast
During my travels, I’ve been fortunate to meet some truly beautiful souls—and along the way, I’ve gathered stories, insights, and moments that have deeply nourished me.
Reflecting on all of this has inspired the beginning of a new season of The Nourished Sensitive Podcast and today I’m excited to share with you the very first episode of this new chapter, along with my heart-led intentions and a glimpse into the evolving vision for what this space is becoming. I can’t wait to grow it with you. 💛
Every time I sit down to record an episode of The Nourished Sensitive Podcast now, I remind myself why this space exists:
To hold meaningful, heart-led conversations for sensitive souls navigating this wild, beautiful, often-overwhelming world.
I didn’t want this to feel like a podcast about quick fixes or curated soundbites, nor did I want to be its guru. Instead, I wanted to create a space for pause, reflection, and real human connection. A place where your inner landscape matters as much as the outer one.
A space where sensitivity is not just welcomed—but celebrated and real stories get told.
Why I Started the TNS Podcast
As a registered dietitian, holistic health coach, and highly sensitive human myself, I’ve often craved conversations that go deeper. Not just about what we’re doing—but how we’re being. Not just about success—but about healing, transformation, and the messy, sacred journey of becoming who we really are.
The Nourished Sensitive Podcast was born from that desire—to uplift the voices of people who are choosing a different path. People who are healing. Questioning. Rebuilding. Remembering. Becoming. And letting their sensitivity guide them.
Through these conversations, I hope to remind you that:
You are not alone in your tenderness.
Healing is non-linear, sacred, and personal.
Your story, just as it is, has medicine in it.
Why Sensitive Stories Matter
At The Nourished Sensitive, I believe that storytelling is medicine. It connects us. It reminds us that we’re not alone. It bridges the space between lived experience and shared understanding—especially for those of us who’ve felt misunderstood, too much, too soft, too deep, or too different.
When we hear someone else's sacred truth, voice, and path, we often find our own.
That’s why I hold space for these conversations. It’s not just about the guest or their expertise—it’s about creating a field of resonance. A shared space where listeners can soften into their own humanity and feel seen in a way they might not often feel in daily life.
This podcast is part of my larger mission at The Nourished Sensitive to gather sensitive people together in a way that uplifts personal growth and fosters collective well-being. Because when sensitive people feel safe, connected, and empowered, we ripple that healing outward—into our relationships, our work, and our communities.
With that said, I’d love to share with you the latest story we’re telling on the podcast.
🎧 Episode 02: Listening to the Body with Bettina Schelkle, Somatic Yoga Teacher
Earlier this week, I had the joy of sitting down with Bettina Schelkle—a longtime yoga practitioner whose journey into somatic yoga has reshaped the way she lives, moves, and teaches as a sensitive human.
Together , Bettina and I explored:
The mind-body disconnect many sensitive people experience
What it means to truly feel into the body, beyond intellectual understanding
Why gentle, intuitive movement can be so powerful for rebuilding trust in ourselves
Bettina’s honest reflections on navigating burnout, healing, and learning to let her body lead
This conversation felt like an exhale. A homecoming. And a reminder that even the smallest movements—done with intention—can be transformative.
Ep. 02–“My Body Had the Answers—Learning to Listen Changed Everything” – A Conversation with Somatic Yoga Teacher, Bettina Schelkle.
Welcome back to The Nourished Sensitive Podcast—a space for sensitive souls, intuitive minds, and deep feelers who are learning to live, lead, and heal from within.
